The Factory Reading Series, and other tidbits

Just a head’s up that I’ll be doing a reading November 29th at the Factory Reading Series alongside CBC Poetry Prize winner Sadiqa de Meijer and Danny Jacobs, whose work I’m not yet familiar with, but might be related to Jesse Jacobs, author of 2012’s best comic book By This Shall You Know Him (God, just read it already).

Here’s the Facebook event, complete with horrifying close-up of my face.

November 21st is also a big day. VERSeFest Fundraiser with talks by David O’Meara, Amanda Earl and Brecken Hancock at 7 at Raw Sugar, and just a few blocks away zine legend Aaron Cometbus and Jeff Miller reading at Pressed at 8. Going to do my best to hit both.

Also pleased to note I was an honorable mention for this year’s John Newlove Poetry Award for my poem “James, who was pale and American” and had the opportunity to read at this year’s Ottawa International Writers Fest. Rob Thomas was this year’s winner.
